Vortex Flowmeter Product Overview
LUGB series pipeline vortex flowmeter is composed of vortex generator, detection probe and corresponding electronic circuit designed in the flow field. When the fluid flows through the vortex generator, two rows of vortexes are formed alternately on both sides of the vortex generator. This vortex is called Carmen vortex street. On the basis of Carmen's vortex street theory, Strouhal proposed that the frequency of Carmen's vortex street is proportional to the flow velocity of the fluid, and the relationship between frequency and flow velocity is given:

These alternating vortices form a series of alternating negative pressures. This pressure acts on the detection probe to form a series of alternating electrical signals. After the preamplifier is converted, shaped, and amplified, the output and vortex Synchronous proportional pulse frequency signal (or standard signal).
Product features of vortex flowmeter

  • No moving parts, long-term stability, simple structure and easy installation and maintenance;
  • The output of the sensor is a pulse frequency, the frequency of which is linear with the actual flow of the measured fluid, zero drift, stable performance, various structural forms, pipeline and plug-in flow sensors;
  • High accuracy, usually the measurement accuracy of liquid is ± 1.0%; the measurement accuracy of gas is ± 1.5%;
  • Wide measuring range, up to 1:20 in the range of Reynolds number from 2 × 104 to 7 × 106;
  • Low pressure loss (approximately 1/4 ~ 1/2 of orifice plate flowmeter), belongs to energy-saving flow meter;
  • Flexible installation method, according to the site process pipeline is not accessible, can be installed horizontally, vertically and at different angles;
  • Adopt anti-disturbance circuit and anti-vibration sensor head, with certain anti-vibration performance;
  • Using ultra-low power single-chip microcomputer technology, one 3V10AH lithium battery can be used for more than 5 years;
  • Correct the instrument coefficient non-linearity by software to improve the measurement accuracy;
  • Use EPROM for power-down protection for accumulated traffic, the protection time is more than 10 years;
