Principles and Structure

The main measuring element of the plastic tube rotor flowmeter is a conical plastic tube with a small end facing downward and a large end facing upward, and a float that can move up and down inside. When the fluid flows through the conical plastic tube from bottom to top, a pressure difference is generated between the upper and lower parts of the float, and the float rises under the action of this differential pressure. When the force that causes the float to rise is equal to the combined forces of gravity, buoyancy, and viscous force, the float is in an equilibrium position. Therefore, there is a certain proportional relationship between the flow rate of the fluid flowing through the flowmeter and the rising height of the float, that is, the flow area of the flowmeter. The position height of the float can be used as a flow measurement.

Third, installation

When reading, the line of sight and the float should be horizontal. [General standard: The optimal flow rate required is 50% -70% of the maximum flow rate of the flow meter. Try not to use the highest number. [4] The upstream and downstream inlets and outlets of the meter should ensure a straight pipe section with 5 times the meter diameter. [5] The pressure of the bedding fluid must be stable. If the fluid is too unstable, it will cause the float to fluctuate and cannot be measured correctly. A buffer or a setter should be set upstream of the flowmeter. [6] The plastic tube rotor flowmeter should be installed vertically, and the angle between the centerline of the flowmeter and the plumb line should not exceed 5 degrees.

Fourth, use

[1] When using the meter, first slowly open the upstream valve to full open, and then use the regulating valve downstream of the flow meter to adjust the flow. When the meter is out of use, close the upstream valve slowly, and then close the flow regulating valve downstream of the meter. [2] The indication value of the meter is seen in the middle of the score line, and the indication value is read from the scale of the float according to the height of the float. 〔3〕 When the cone and float are contaminated, they should be cleaned in time. [4] Regularly check the flowmeter for errors. Once it exceeds the specified error, the float and cone should be replaced or recalibrated to obtain better accuracy. [5] When the measured fluid is inconsistent with the calibration medium of the flowmeter, the displayed value must be corrected.
