How to understand the primary and secondary instruments  

仪表 与二次 仪表 是仪表安装工程的习惯用语。 Primary and secondary meters are the idioms for meter installation engineering. 显示仪表 The exact names should be measuring instruments and display instruments . The measuring instrument is in direct contact with the medium and is installed outdoors in the field. Most of the display instruments are installed on the control room panel. In order to distinguish the instruments in a system, the instruments installed on-site are referred to as primary instruments, and the panel-mounted display instruments are referred to as secondary instruments.

The primary instrument is one of the components (elements) of the automatic detection device. With a sensing element for sensing changes in the parameters of the measured medium. Or with a ruler to indicate the reading; or without a ruler, it does not indicate the reading itself.
